Traveling without moving

One of my first experiments of photographing stars. I wanted to try it before, but the 450D gave me really noisy images for my satisfaction. But with the 5D it’s now much better.

I took this one at 2 a.m. at night, as I was waiting for the moon to set behind the mountains. You still can see a lot of light pollution in the photo, as there is a city behind the mountains. I also went with 8 minutes for this photo. I wanted to try 30 minutes, but I was too tired to wait there for 30 minutes without falling a sleep. And as I was standing above a cliff, I had to be careful so I don’t fall down. And of course this is not a HDR :)
