Another stunning ceiling

I posted a vertorama from the Palace of the Parliament some time ago, and here is another one. One just have to do a vertorama, just to be able to catch all those stunning ceilings. There is one in every room :)

This is a three shot vertorama, each shot from 5 exposures, but used them only to blend in the chandelier.

The stunning ceiling

If you ever wonder why I like vertormas so much, this is it. You just can’t get a view like this without using multiple photos. The ceiling here, in the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest is just stunning (as are in many more rooms in that building), and even while standing there, it’s hard to take it all in at once. But with a wide enough lens, and a bit of editing, it is possible :)

I took more vertoramas here, so I will share them with you in some later blog posts :)

This is a two shot vertorma, with a third photo used to remove few people from the shot. Combined in Lightroom, finished in Photoshop.

Administrative?

When I listened to the guide while visiting the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest, she explained that its the second largest building in the world, after the Pentagon in the USA. But when I tried to search for that, it shows a bit more of a correction. It is the second largest, administrative building. Still, it’s a huge building, quite a stunning place to visit :)

The second largest building

So of course this photo is of the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest. This is the view from the big parking area right in front of the palace. I really liked how the big street lamps framed the view, so I found the exact center opposing the parliament, and got this.

This is a blend of 4 exposure, done in Photoshop.
