HIGH-RESOLUTION WALLPAPERS

From the clouds in the distance it haven’t looked that much for rain, but just few minutes after I took this shot, I got completely soaked by a freakishly strong storm. I have no idea where it came from, and it again passed after few minutes. Of course I had to stop taking photos, and go back to the flat to change :)

This is a HDR from 3 photos, created in Oloneo Photoengine, finished in Photoshop.

Alexander bridge statue

Technique: Oloneo Photoengine, Number of exposures: 3, Camera Model: Sony a7R + Metabones MkIII Adapter, Lens: Canon 70-200mm F2.8 IS II, Focal length: 115mm, Aperture: 18, Middle exposure time: 1/8s, ISO: 100, Tripod used: yes, Location: 48.863278, 2.313316

One can’t even tell that there was a concert with quite a lot of people right behind me. The stage was only around 5-10m behind me. It really was noisy and I did not like the music that much also. But what can you do if you are in a city only for a short while. One just has to make the best of it :)

This is a HDR from three exposures, created in Oloneo Photoengine, finished in Photoshop. The sky is from one of the exposures, the rest is HDR. I also removed few people from the bridge, as they just bothered me in the shot.

Middle Bridge

Technique: Oloneo Photoengine, Number of exposures: 3, Camera Model: Sony a7R + Metabones MkIII Adapter, Lens: Canon 16-35mm F2.8, Focal length: 17mm, Aperture: 16, Middle exposure time: 13.0s, ISO: 100, Tripod used: yes, Location: 47.560395, 7.590886

I really tend to go more towards more colorful photos. Especially evening and night photos, with all the lights can produce so much color in one shot. But as you know, not every day is like that, and some rainy clouds can make all look much more grey. But maybe for a change, even a less colorful photo could be nice :)

This is a HDR from three exposures, created in Oloneo Photoengine (could have done probably also without it, just used it to recover few shadows) and finished in Photoshop.

Calm morning river

Technique: Oloneo Photoengine, Number of exposures: 3, Camera Model: Sony a7R + Metabones MkIII Adapter, Lens: Canon 16-35mm F2.8, Focal length: 21mm, Aperture: 9, Middle exposure time: 1.0s, ISO: 100, Tripod used: yes, Location: 48.850240, 2.280428

I haven’t even notice, while I was taking this panorama, that half of the image is completely dark, while the second is quite bright. It’s actually a little strange, that the street right next to the water is not lit at all. But since you can see from the amount of lights on the Charles bridge, they probably decided not to bother with it.

This is a two tile panorama, each tile from 3 exposures. Panorama combined using PTgui, HDR created in Oloneo Photoengine, finished in Photoshop.

Half lit

Technique: Oloneo Photoengine, Number of exposures: 3, Camera Model: Sony a7R + Metabones MkIII Adapter, Lens: Canon 24-70mm F2.8, Focal length: 64mm, Aperture: 9, Middle exposure time: 10s, ISO: 100, Tripod used: yes, Location: 50.084393, 14.413288

This is what I try to do when the sky is not interesting enough. I try to find something to frame the subject with. And here I used the trees on the opposing side of the Eiffel tower. I do think about composition a lot. It’s the most common reason why I discard photos. There can be noise, bad colors, not enough sharpness, but when the composition is right, one can get over that. But when the composition is wrong, you usually can do nothing.

I almost also discarded this one, as the tower was to centered in the shot. But since I had a little space for cropping here, I managed to move it a bit to the side, so it’s much more acceptable now. This is a HDR from 3 shots, created in Oloneo Photoengine, finished in Photoshop.
