Prague in yellow

I thought about correcting all the yellow from this image, but every time I did that, I didn’t like the image anymore. It really was this yellow that day. It was very foggy in Prague and the street lamps there give of a very yellow colored light.

I also tend to go more lightly on post processing lately. So for this one I only blended two exposure, a normal one for most of the photo and a -1EV to darken a little the brightest areas. I also added a little tonal contrast to add more detail to the buildings (but only around 10% strength)

I really need some new photos. Editing the same stuff over and over is just not fun. You need to switch between editing and taking photos, so it doesn’t get frustrating over time. I even vent so much back today, that I chosen a photo taken with my old Canon 450D for today. It’s funny that this photo is already almost two years old.

Rooftops of Prague

Slowly I’m getting the hang of this manual blending and luminance masking. Instead of experimenting, I think I actually know what I’m doing :) This is one of the shots I took last time I was in Prague. I’m already planing another trip there, but it wont be for a few more months.

Stunning clouds over Prague

What do you think? Did I use tone-mapping or manual blending here? I’m just curious.. if someone can see the difference in my photos :) Everyone who visit my blog regularly already noticed that I’m experimenting with new techniques of combining photos recently. And so a lot of my recent photos were manually blended in Photoshop, but there were still tone-mapped HDRs in between them. So what do you think? Which one is this? :)

This is a photo from Prague, taken form the Old town hall tower. For me,the clouds were a big surprise, as the only appeared right after the sunset. It was a pleasant surprise :)

Artist on the Bridge

During my last visit in Prague, I had nothing to shoot during the day. As the sun was strong and no clouds on the sky, it was not a great time to shoot landscape photos. So instead I took my 70-200mm lens and took photos of people on the Charles bridge. And as this is one of the more permanent performers there, I took a photo of him. Actually I posted a photo of him some long time ago, his really perfect for a B&W shot :)

No HDR today, single photo edited in Photoshop and Lightroom.
