Easter Market

Of course I had to go up the Old town hall tower in Prague. As the Easter market was in the square, I wanted to have a nice overview photo of the square. It was raining during the day, so the nice clouds in the evening were a great surprise.

I scratched my tripod a little while taking photos there. There were more people as I expected so I had to put it really close to the walls and railing. At one moment one of the legs got loose, which was really not good, as I lost the tightening “thingy” for my tripod maybe a week after I bought it. But it went better as expected, as I collapsed the loose leg and place it on the railing.

A fogy reflection

A bridge and a reflection. Two most common elements in my photos. This time it’s of the National Theatre Opera in Prague and the Bridge of Legions.

This was taken last Friday. It was quite fogy the whole day, so I decided to skip taking shots during the day, and instead focus on night photography. I actually set the white balance on my camera to the coolest option, and the photos still came out yellow. So I decided to let it be. And actually as I was standing there, the whole street looked really yellow, so it it quite realistic :)

Back from Prague

Just about a hour ago I returned from Prague. I have to say, the weather was horrible. I think I went through all the four seasons in two days. It was raining, overcast, heavy fog, sunny, cloudy, windy, clear sky and for a while it was also snowing. The weather really changed each hour. One god thing though, booth days the sunset was just stunning. In the end, I slept through the day, and took most of the photos in the evening. And I think a lot of them will be very nice :) So here is the first one:

The blue sunset in Prague

I just can’t resist going to the top of any tower I see. This time it was the tower of the Charles Bridge in Prague. For a while I was alone there, as there is no elevator, and only few tourists want to go up the stairs. I suggest to look at the bigger version of this photo. There is just so much in it.

This one is from last autumn, from my last visit in Prague. It was a very sunny day, and this was even taken around lunch. So really not the best time to take photos. But with HDR and a little bit of photoshop tweaking, it came out not that bad. Check out the comparison to see the original.

Actually I’m planing to go to Prague in few weeks, so I hope to get many new and much better photos :)

Space Elevator

This really reminds me of a sci-fi movie. But it still fits quite nicely into the Prague Old town hall. It’s a great combination of old and new.
