I quite have the luck for bad weather, whenever I go for a photo trip. Strange that before I started with photography, each trip was filled with great weather. Or maybe I just don’t remember correctly anymore :). But also in Paris, I had few days of rain and heavy clouds. But I still try to take photos also in those conditions, trying to make the best of it. I know I wont visit Paris again for some time, so I want to have as many photos as I can :)

I took this shot a little time before sunset. I was hoping for the sky to clear out a little (as it was quite windy) but instead I got heavy rain.

The moment before the storm

A little different view of the Eiffel tower, this time through one of the glass panels of the Wall of Peace (Le Mur pour la Paix). I don’t take credit for thinking of taking the photo like this, as I seen a similar shot by A.G. Photographe.

Shattered Tower

A week spend in Paris taking photos, is just not enough. I still have a huge list of places I want to go there and some of those I visited I definitively need to revisit. And the list get bigger and bigger. Same with the Arc De Triomphe. I like the photos I got, but I still wan to go up and take a nice sunset shot from there. Maybe next time :)

Blue hour at the Arc De Triomphe

A nicely lit Eiffel tower, during the blue hour. Something one could take photos of for a long time. You can see there are some additional parts to it on the photos, as the first floor is currently under reconstruction. But it’s good that there are not so different from the tower, so you can’t even see them that much.

With all the lights on

I love the colors in this one. Even with it raining most of the day, the night was usable. You don’t get any blue hour with the sky being completely covered with clouds, but once the sun goes down, the city lights will make all clouds glow yellow. There is so much more light for night shooting then.
