From my hotel room in Madrid

This is the view from my hotel room, from my trip to Madrid earlier this year. I actually wrote to the hotel before I arrived, asking them for a room with a nice view of the street. And this is what I got. You can say I was satisfied :) The street was quite busy the whole day, but as I used to live on the busiest intersection in Bratislava before, I didn’t mind.

One thing I loved about Spain, is that there is no time change compared to Slovakia. So when I was there, the sunset was around 8 o’clock. This is just great if you are a photographer. Not that I went out to take photo, as I was so tired from visiting all the places there, but still nice to wake up to it :)

Toledo Cathedral

Today a quick shot of the Toledo cathedral. Would have like to spend more time here, but you know how it is when you go on a trip with non-photographer friends :). They are not always in a mood to wait for you :) So at least I snapped few shots handheld, and the worked out quite nicely. It would be even better it the sky was more interesting that day, but I newer replace the sky, and I don’t to start with it now.

Top 5 spots in Prague

Another new page on my blog. This time it’s my Top 5 photography spots in Prague. Slowly I’m adding more and more content to this blog, so I hope you all find it useful :)

View across the cathedral

This is the view you get when you go up onto the tower of the Almudena cathedral in Madrid and look towards the Royal palace. The day I took this was actually quite nice, just when I was on the tower it became quite windy and clouds covered most of the sky. When it’s windy it’s actually much simpler to take HDR photos of architecture than of nature, as they are much more resistant to movement.

Top 5 Spots

There is a new part to this blog. It’s called Top 5 Spots and it’s list of the top 5 places in the cities I know. Of course i started with Bratislava, but I will add few more later on (Vienna, Prague…). Hope you like the list and also find it useful, if you ever plan a trip to Bratislava.  So check it out here Top 5 Photography Spots – Bratislava

Storks in Segovia

I know it’s little harder to see, but on the two trees in front are stork nests on top. As I still don’t have a zoom lens, I had no chance to take a closer photo :) But that will change hopefully quite soon.

This photo was taken from the top of the Alcazar in Segovia. I wanted to add a photo of the Alcazar too, but I don’t know what I was thinking about while photographing it, as I don’t like the composition in a single one.

The beauty of Spain

This is what I like the most about Spain, these beautiful brick buildings looks just so great. I love the soft sandy colors which came out in this photo. I took this one only handheld, so I was very happy the the shots aligned perfectly and the result was a perfectly sharp photo.

I took this shot earlier this year in the city Toledo in Spain
