New day begins

So this is already one from this weekend. I somehow managed to get up for the sunrise again. The last time there were no clouds, but this time I had this beautiful color show, so I was very pleased. For this one I took 9 shots, from -4 to +4. I did it manually, quickly changing the settings between each shot. I also tried to create a panorama of this sunrise, so hopefully I will upload it sometime later :)

In this shot the Stary Haj area near Krupina in central Slovakia.

HDR from 9 shots, taken with Canon 7D, with Sigma 10-20mm lens, manually focused, manual bracketing.

Sun in the woods

Just a simple photo today :) This was taken few moments before sunset and the sun was already really low on the horizon. As you can quite see, this is an older photo, taken last autumn.

Small house in the morning light

This scene looks so peacefull to me. It was so calm and quiet during the sunrise. I took this one during the last weekend. This was a little harder HDR to process, as there is such a high amount of detail in it, that it’s very easy to have too much detail, and it all looks just like a big mess. But I think I was quite successful to give it a very natural look.

Btw. does this look like a miniature only to me? :) I really have to try a tilt-shift effect on this photo (or better yet, buy a tilt-shift lens and go once more to the same spot :))

Broken camera

The photo today, is probably one of the last photos I took with my current Canon 450D, at least for a while. Few hours after that, the camera stopped working. From what I have seen, it looks like the shutter mechanism broke, as there is a small metal part stuck across the sensor. So lets hope it can be repaired and the cost is not so high.

So now I currently have no camera and for the next few days (hopefully only days) I will only upload older photos, which I haven’t yet processed.

Beautiful Sunrise

I had to wake up at 4:45 so I can catch the sun, as it got up from behind the hills. Bu I think it was worth it. In the photo the Stary Haj area in central Slovakia.

After taking photos

This photo was taken after a beautiful sunset which I spend taking photos in the woods (which I already shared on this blog :)), and we were on the way back. This was the great car we used to get there :). As this was taken some time after the sunset, the sky was this light blue which almost looked like white in the photos. I was thinking of making it more blue, but then decided against it. I left the car, the darkest part of the photo.

In this shot I really played with the distortion, which is created with a wide angle lens. The Camera was maybe 1m from the car at F18 to still keep it sharp. It almost looks like the car is bend :)
