Waiting

Don’t you just hate waiting? I do. And right now, I’m waiting for my new camera to arrive. I so hoped it will be today, but no. But there is a big chance that it will be tomorrow, so I will write more about it then :)

Overcast evening in Hallstatt

For today photos, I chosen one from Hallstatt in Austria. The day I was there did not work so great with weather. It was overcast the whole day. And with how picturesque the city is, I just wanted a more bright, colorful photos. But that would require a bit of sun. Who knows, maybe next time.

This is a two exposure blend, where I used the second one mostly to darken the sky. Edited in Lightroom and Photoshop.

Evening in Hallstatt

As I mentioned, this weekend I’m in Prague, taking probably foggy photos. But as this year I want to stick again with regular daily updates, this one was scheduled the day before :)

Lighthouse in the blue

For today, I have for you a photo of the Lighthouse in Podersdorf am See. This is one of my favorite locations close by Bratislava, as it’s so unique to have a lighthouse in central Europe. And if you don’t go there in summer, you get a great view, with minimum of people around :)

This is a single exposure, edited in Lightroom and Photoshop.

Lighthouse in the blue Podersdorf am See

I never know how to compose photos of this church. It’s surrounded by a cemetery and quite closely by walls. So this time I tried to tackle it with the tilt shift lens, by doing a two shot vertorama. For those curious, this church is between Hainburg and Bad Deutsch-Altenburg in Austria.

I wonder why I did not take another shot for this panorama, to make it a bit wider. I regret that I did not include the mountain on the right. But hard to say what I was thinking when I took this panorama. Still, I like how the shadow is perfectly placed around the golden ratio, for a nice composition :)

The shadow

This is probably my most favorite photo spot in Vienna. The calm pond is just so great for reflection. That is if the water is there, and there is no stage in the middle :) This is of course the St. Charles’s Church (Karlskirche).

Most of this photo is from single exposure, but I had to use a second exposure to darken the tower (the lights there are crazy bright) and another exposure to brighten few shadows.
