New Links page

Yesterday I added a new links page to this blog. It contains a lot of links, but is more of a list of my favorite HDR photographers. There are currently 8 there, but I will add more later on. I really suggest checking them out as they all create such wonderful photos. You can find the page in the right hand menu.. or directly here.

The very soft colors in Budapest

Another of those very early morning shots. Taken around 5.30 in the morning. The sunrise was quite boring.. and the sky was quite overcast. But with the help of few filters I managed to create some detail in the clouds and add a little color to the photo :)

Yellow Bridge

I hate it that everywhere the photo looks different, in Lightroom, Photoshop, Smugmug.. on Facebook.. everywhere it’s different.. Facebook of course being the worse.. and then on a second monitor it’s again different. One would think, that with so few manufactures and big software providers, this could be fixed by now. But I think it will only get worse :) And for those interested, this is the Chain Bridge in Budapest.

Altar in the basilica

Usually I take photos from quite far away in the churches, so I get the whole interior in one photo. But a view from closer up of the altar is also very interesting. Like here in the St. Stephens Basilica in Budapest. There are just so many details on the surrounding wall, that I had to use less sharpening as I usually do :)

Castle entrance

Always when I tried to take a photo of this entrance, I had people in my shot. So in the end I decided to go there at 4:30 in the morning. What I didn’t know is that the metro in Budapest does not run so early (better said, the line I needed) so I had a nice 30 minute walk at 4 in the morning through the city. The city looks really different at that time (and a little scary :) ).

Other side of the bridge

If you look my other Budapest photos, you will notice, that there is one quite similar to this one. Simple reason, same time, same subject, just different composition (and place I was standing :) )
