I would never thought, that the photo I took from my balcony will get onto Flickr Explore front page :). But it did :)

Entrance

So today I have a photo of the entrance to the Primate’s palace in Bratislava. As I took it at night, the HDR was really yellow, so I decided to remove a lot from the yellow color, giving it a more daily look :)

HDR from three shots, taken with Canon 450D with Sigma 10-20mm lens, from a tripod.

The Mystery of the Blue Train

That’s the book I’m currently reading by Agatha Christie. And in the middle of editing this photo I noticed, that this is also a blue train. What a coincidence :). I took this photo last summer in Bratislava at a train gathering Rendez. I went for a little different look here. This is also my first HDR in which I haven’t used Photomatix. I used Oloneo HDR software here.

Galvaniho Business Center

Two weeks without taking any photos and I’m already feeling like a junkie without a drug :). So I at least went to the Galvaniho Business Center to take few night shots. It’s only like 5 minute walk from my flat :)

Sunset at Home

I don’t know why, but usually when I’m at home I see the best sunsets. They are never when I outside, taking photos. So this time, I just took a photo from my balcony. I don’t have a very interesting view, but at least it’s quiet :)

I also tried Oloneo HDR software for the firs time here. I created a HDR in Photomatix and in Oloneo HDR and combined the best parts from both. I quite like it actually. Will probably try to incorporate it into my HDR workflow.

Massive

A lot of people don’t like distortion in their photos. I don’t mind. Sometimes I even like them. Like for instance here. The view through a wide angle lens make the bridge look so massive and majestic, exactly the look I was going for :). Everyone visiting this blog regularly, will definitely recognize the bridge in this photos. Of course it’s the New Bridge in Bratislava.
