Fireworks over Danube

So I tried again to take few photos of the midnight fireworks. For the last few years they were accompanied by a heavy fog, which hid most of them. But luckily, this year the weather played along, and I got some nice shots :) (so there will be a few more this week :))

This photo was taken from the Bratislava Castle, you can see the New Bridge over Danube in it.

HDR from a single shot, taken with Canon 450D with Sigma 10-20mm lens, from a tripod.

Merry Christmas

I want to wish all of you a merry Christmas, lovely times spend with you loved ones and a lot of nice Christmas photos :)

Christmas Bear

Not a photo from this winter, as I wanted at least on Christmas to post a photo with snow. This is a part of the decorations at the River Park in Bratislava, in front of the Kempinski hotel.

HDR from three shots, taken with Canon 450D with Sigma 10-20mm lens, from a tripod.

Offline

I will be spending the next few days and Christmas with my parents, so I’m mostly offline for that time. But as usually there should be a new photo every day, if the scheduling works :)

Hodza Square

One more blue hour shot from center of Bratislava. I actually went inside the fountain, to take few show with reflections from the water puddles :)

Grassalkovich Palace

The weather is still ugly here, but at-least night shots look quiet alright :) I took three shots here, but alignment of the flags was horrible, so I tried a different approach here. I created a HDR from a single photo (0EV) and corrected the too bright and too dark areas from the other photos in Photoshop.

Parked

At first I didn’t like this photo. I took it only because of the car, and I thought the background doesn’t fit here at all. But after I edited it in photomatix, I started to like it. The contrast between the beautiful old car and the ugly concrete pillars worked out actually quite well.

I took here exposures from -4EV to +2EV, but it still wast enough to have a blue sky in the shot :)

HDR from 4 shots, taken with Canon 450D with Sigma 10-20mm lens, from a tripod
