Waking up (part 1)

Since the spring is upon us and we had such a lovely weather this weekend, I decided for a different post today :) This is a quite different style of photography for me, but I like to try more than just one style. So if they are not the best, please have a little patience with me :). These shots are not HDR’s, they all have just been tweaked a little in Adobe Lightroom, with no other editing done on them.

I will post a second part of these shots later this week, since I took quite a lot of them :).

All shots taken with Canon 450D with Sigma 18-50mm lens, handheld. Mostly at F2.8. All photos taken at the Botanical Garden in Bratislava.

Light blue sunset

A lot of HDR shots come out quite dark. So from time to time I like to have some with nice light colors. So here is one :)

Shadows

I spend few days walking around Birmingham, Uk. I took so much photos, which I still continue to edit :). I took this one while trying to find my way to the Bullring and I took a wrong turn :). I usually don’t really mind getting a little lost (if the weather is good :) ). You usually get the best shots this way. I this one I really like how the shadow cover the building, giving it a special texture look.

Steak House

I was in Cologne, Germany twice and both times I went to this Chicago Stake House for a great steak :). I had no tripod here and didn’t really want everyone to know I’m taking a shot. So I just put the camera on the table in front of me, held it down and took the shots.

Around the Canal

My last years trip to Birmingham started of very stressfully. Few hours before my plane had to depart, somebody called in, that there is a bomb in the airport. So they evacuated the airport and searched for it. It was actually lucky, that the airport in Bratislava is not that big, so it didn’t take them that long.

This shot was taken around the canals in Birmingham, UK. I will be there again this year, so this time I will definitely have to take some night shots.
