What are you listening to?

I’m just curious :) What are you listening to while taking photos. I spoke to few photographers, and they all listen to music. But I don’t. I always listen to audiobooks (I am a big Audible user :)). You can even see what I’m listening to right now, if you check my Goodreads account (you can friend me there if you want :)). My goal for this year is to go through at least 100 books this way.

So am I the only one who listens to books? Or are there more of you :)

A castle vertorama

I started writing a guid on how to use a tilt-shift lens, but until that is finished, here is another vertorama for you. This one I actually took the fist day I bought the lens.

This is a two shot vertorama, taken from the little lookout area in front of the Bratislava castle. Edited in Lightroom and Photoshop.

A castle vertorama Bratislava

Budapest really is great for nice city views, especially from the castle. I usually prefer the view towards the Chain bridge, but also the one towards the Elisabeth bridge is great.

This is a blend of two exposures. Mostly I used only one, but I had to darken few very bright areas from a second one. Edited in Lightroom and Photoshop.

The temperatures dropped a lot the last days in Slovakia, with today being a nice -10 degrees Celsius (-18 real feel). I tried to go out to take some photos, but it really is not that fun, when one has a cold allergy. But today I stopped for an hour in Trnava, to take few photos, and while I gave up after about a hour in the cold, I still got some nice shots. And here is one of them :)

With the beginning of new year, it got quite cold in Bratislava and the fog rolled in. I went out to take few photos (not as many as I would like, due to camera problems :/), but I got some. Here is one, with the new Old bridge coming from the fog, with a nicely frost covered tree. There was not much color in this photo, but I still toned it down a bit to make the green more dominant.

This is a single exposure, edited in Lightroom and Photoshop.

How about one more shot from the New years fireworks. This was the last photo I took, of the final, quite huge, fireworks explosion. It really was big :)

A little side note, I too the new Peak Design Everyday Sling as the bag that evening, and it worked perfectly. I actually managed to fit a Canon 5D Mark II, a 20-70mm f2.8, 16-35mm f2.8 and a 50mm lens into it. It’s quite bigger than one would think it is from looking at it :)

This is a single exposure, edited in Lightroom and Photoshop.
