More with fireworks

I still have many photo from the St. Stephens Day fireworks and I like a lot from them. Too bad the view is mostly the same, as from the spot I was standing at I could not really move at all. But the fireworks explosions are different in each one, so every photo is different anyway.

This is a single exposure, split into two, blended then back together in Photoshop.

Morning bus on the Dragon Bridge

For today I have chosen a photo I took in 2013 when visiting Ljubljana in Slovenia. I tried to edit this photo of the Dragon bridge years ago, but I did not like the result then. But I do like it now, even if the composition is not exactly what I would take today. At that time, the 16mm lens was the widest one I had, and I did not take panoramas that often. If I had to redo this shot now, I would do a two-shot panorama, so the dragons are not so close to the edge of the photo. Maybe if I decide to revisit Ljubljana one day, I will try that.

I took this photo very early in the morning at the Dragon bridge, when there was still not much traffic. There were busses already running, so I waited for one, to create this long exposures. This photo is a blend of 4 exposures, done in Photoshop.

Low clouds over Bratislava castle

It has been very rainy in Bratislava for the last few days, so for today, I have chosen a photo from a rainy evening. I really like when the clouds are like this, very low over the city. The lights from the city then can lit it up and give it color in the sky. And with a combination of that together with the lights reflecting into the river, you can get a really golden gloving photo.

For this photo, I used 6 exposures, as it was taken quite late and the castle was really bright compared to the rest of the area. Blended and edited in Photoshop.

Rainy morning at the Rijksmuseum

Today I have for you another photo from my huge photo archive. This one is from one very early rainy morning in Amsterdam. Something like we had today in Bratislava. But as you can clearly see from all the tulips, this was not taken in Autumn, but in the early Spring. That’s why there are also no people in this photo. I saw almost no one around so early in the morning.

This is a blend from 5 exposures, done in Photoshop. This is the fountain behind the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
