Fire to the rain

I love shooting fireworks. It’s a little hit and miss all the time, as there are not so many opportunities, when to take photos of them. These time they were directly in the middle of the city, over Danube. So I found my self a spot, so I have the castle and them in one photo. And I think it worked out nicely.

Of course this is a HDR from a single RAW file. Also I used Oloneo HDR instead of Photomatix, as it gives me better results with photos, where there is a lot of black space.

The yellow evening

The light on this street in Prague create such a yellow light. And with the overcast sky, everything was just yellow. At first I removed the color cast, did color correction so the sky was more blue, and the buildings more grey. But than I didn’t liked it anymore. This was for a simple reason. When I was there everything was yellow. If you shine a yellow light on a white wall, it will look yellow, so why should it be white in a photo?

When they turn on the lights

Each time when I take sunset shots, I wait for this moment. The one when they turn on the light, but there is still enough light that the photo is still a bright one.

Looking up

A big one today (60 Mpix :) ). Those of you who follow me on facebook know that I recently bought a Panoramic head, the Nodal Ninja 4. I also posted few shot of how it looks and how I used it for this photo there. And this is the first result I’m publishing.  This is a 180 degree vertorama, created from 7 photos. At first it should have been a HDR vertorama (I took multiple brackets), but as it was quite windy there, the ghosting was just too much. So instead I created this from single exposures, and I used some of the steps I do in HDR post processing on it.

As Smugmug is not so good for vertical photos (it creates very small versions of them)  I uploaded the big version directly to the blog. When you click on it, you will see a smaller one, which fits a screen :)

1967 Ford Mustang GTA

What a beauty this is. And I took this only handheld :). I had to be very quick, so I have no one in the shot. I was in the city yesterday and there was a veteran rally. And as I was walking around I found this beauty, with no one standing next to it. I managed to take two shot when other people noticed it and started moving around it. But I think the ones I got are really nice :)
