Two suns

One of the great things, you can do with HDR, is to take photos of the sun and still have nice exposure in the whole shot. This is one of those occasions. Check out the original (0EV) shot, to see the difference.

Again I have only a small idea where this was taken. I took it last week while traveling, and we just stopped by a random sunflower field along the way. I took only few shots, as there were so many bees in the field, I didn’t want to push my luck :)

St. Egidius Church

Two days ago I uploaded a photo taken from the tower of the St. Egidius Church in Bardejov. This time I’m uploading a photo of the church :). I took this shot last weekend while visiting relatives there.

This was taken around 1 hour after the sunset, so still in the blue hour. The church was already lit up, but all the clouds have vanished. So I tried to use the best sky color from the original shots, to make it at least a little bit interesting :)

Sky after the storm

The weather here last week was was a combination of really warm weather during the day and strong storms in the evenings. So the sunsets were just beautiful.

As I mentioned earlier, anyone can follow me now on Google+ on my profile. They also added the ability to send invites, so if anybody still needs one let me know :)

Center of Bardejov

It’s a little shame on me that this is the first time I took any photos of Bardejov (small city in eastern Slovakia), as I spend a lot of time there. The high school I visited for 4 years is a little to the left of this area :). But this time I took some :). The weather was nice with only few clouds on the sky. I took this shot from the top of the Church of St Egidius. I had quite luck, as when I was there, there were no other people, so I could use my tripod in the very small space available.

I’m back :)

So after week away from Internet, I’m finally back :). Now to try to catch up with all the stuff that happened last week. I also took a lot of photos, so I hope you all like them :)

Part of the Moon

I really tried to take a photo of the moon with my 200mm lens (which is around 300 on my crop sensor camera) but the moon was always so small on the photo. So this time I attached my camera to a Celestron CPC 1100 GPS (I’m not 100% sure about the type) telescope which is 2800mm. I still think that the photo could be sharper, but for a first try I think it’s quite good :)

I took three shots, but Photomatix was not able to properly align them, so I created a HDR from a single RAW. It’s also converted to B&W as it had this yellowish color, which I didn’t liked at all.
