The beauty of Austria

I can’t even imagine how would this look during a nice sunset… really a place I have to revisit. Even during such a cloudy day, and even when it was raining, the view was stunning.

I was thinking of adding more contrast and color to this photo, but then decided against it. Like it is, it gives me the same feeling as what I have seen that day. A cloudy, rainy day is not defined by saturated colors :)

Sunset above Budapest

This one was taken from the top of the St. Stephens basilica in Budapest, during one very cold sunset. I had to hold the camera most of the time, as it was too light to stand still in the heavy wind. The sunset was a little more colorless than I hoped, so I thought it will be better during the blue hour. But as the tower has very strong flood lights, once those were one, no further shooting was possible.

Cloudy sky in Durnstein

One of the places I will definitively need to revisit. Just luck that Durnstein in Austria is not so far away from Bratislava. As you can see from this and other photos I already posted from there, during my last visit, the weather was not the best. Actually when I took this, it was already raining. Luckily the canon 24-70 lens has a huge lens hood, which is great for such situations :)

Architectural Flower

I spend few hours relaxing at a spa today, so how about a new photo taken at a spa (not the same one :) ). As some of you probably already noticed, I tend to look up when I’m inside an interesting structure and the Gellért spa in Budapest is interesting. So I got something like this, with I can only call and Architectural Flower.. as that’s how it looks to me :)

More from the St. Stephens basilica

I still have more photos from the basilica and I will probably add them all. The basilica just looks so great.
