HIGH-RESOLUTION WALLPAPERS

Number 1

And we are at number 1, the most favorited photo I have on Flickr. And also the first ever photo I had on Flickr Explore homepage.

This is for now the last look back and from tomorrow I be back with the new photos.

This photo is on Flickr here http://www.flickr.com/photos/theodevil/5907591381/
After sunset in the Sunflower field I really wanted to take a show with the sun still above the horizon, but we were traveling on a highway, and could not stop by any of the fields, and by the time we reached this one, the sun was already down. But I still like it :). Everything is a little more blue, but still fine :). Photo taken somewhere between Trnava and Bratislava (I have no idea where exactly :))HDR from three shots, taken with Canon 450D with Sigma 10-20mm lens, from a tripod.

Number 2

Continuing with the 2nd most favorited of my photos on Flickr. I can’t wait until I take the same shot with the 5D mark II. the problem with this photo was, that with the 7D I could not fit the whole moon into one photo. I had to do a panorama. But with the bigger sensor of the 5D, this should no longer be a problem.

Almost full moon My plan for last weekend was also to take photos of the stars, as the 7D has quite nice performance on higher ISO levels. But I didn't account for the very bright almost full moon. It was so bright, that the stars were almost not visible. So I took photos of the moon instead :)I actually felt quite stupid when I took this. The reason was, that the setup I used, the 7D with a Celestron telescope, could only capture something above half of the moon and you couldn't zoom out. And it took me quite a while to remember, that I can create a panorama from multiple shots, to capture the whole moon :) This is not a HDR shot, I took multiple exposures, but the didn't align properly and the HDR from a single RAW didn't look right to me. So I just created a panorama from two shots, removed the distortion and did few steps I usually do in HDR post-processing.Panorama from two shots, taken with Canon 7D and Celestron CPC 1100 GPS telescope.

Number 3

This is one of those places, where I want to go back to take some night shots. I was actually quite surprised when this photo got to the Flickr Explore front page. But that’s always a surprise :)

Completely calm water I was quite surprised, when I found these canals in Birmingam, UK. I wasn't expecting anything like these. But It was a very nice surprise, as they gave me some great reflections.HDR form three shots, taken with Canon 450D with Sigma 10-20mm lens, handheld.

Number 4

Let’s continue to number 4. Again the New Bridge, but this time from the opposing side. It’s already more than a year since I posted this photo, and two years since I took it, and still it’s one of the most liked of my photos.

This photo is on Flickr here  http://www.flickr.com/photos/theodevil/5594621264/Night colorsI processed this photo few months ago, and never got to publishing it :). So here it is now. This was again one of the days, where every single shot is beautiful :) There were such beautiful clouds and sunset that I'm actually sad I didn't take more.HDR from three shots, taken with Canon 450D with Sigma 10-20mm lens, from a gorillapod.

Number 5

As I am currently away and was so busy last weeks, I had absolutely no time to create enough photos for the whole week. So instead for the next five days, I will take a look at the top 5 most favorited photos at my Flickr page. Hope you don’t mind :) So lets start with number 5

So this one is of the New Bridge, or the SNP bridge, if they already changed the name. I still don’t see why they should change it.

Massive A lot of people don't like distortion in their photos. I don't mind. Sometimes I even like them. Like for instance here. The view through a wide angle lens make the bridge look so massive and majestic, exactly the look I was going for :). Everyone visiting this blog regularly, will definitely recognize the bridge in this photos. Of course it's the New Bridge in Bratislava.HDR from three shots, taken with Canon 450D with Sigma 10-20mm lens, from a tripod.
