Endless tram in Bordeaux – plotagraph

I wanted to try a plotagraph where not just the water and sky moves. So I tried to do one from this long exposure morning tram shot in Bordeaux in France. It was not as easy as to get the clouds to move, but after few tries it worked out quite well.

You can see how I used animation points and masking here, in the screenshot on the side.

You can check out my Plotagraph Pro review here, and a guide how to create them here.

Planing a trip

So right now I’m in the middle of planing a trip to Dubai. It is still 4 weeks away, but better sooner than later. Just finding a reasonable place to stay can take so much time. But I can’t wait to be there again, having so much to take photos of again :) And the heat will also be welcomed after the ugly weather in Bratislava recently.

Long exposure reflection at Traunsee

This is another photo from the trip two weeks ago to the Traunsee in Austria. It was quite a pleasant surprise to get such a nice sky in the middle of the winter. I was expecting more of rain or snow than this. But it worked out.

For this photo, I did a two shot panorama, each one with a 10 stop ND filter. For this I used the Formatt Hitech Firecrest filter. I had to use this one, as I used the 16-35mm lens, and I don’t have other filters for the 82 radius lenses. It’s actually a pity that the 16-35 uses such big filters, and most lenses use a 77mm one, and this makes it less convenient to use them with this lens. Panorama combined in Lightroom, finished in Photoshop.

Instagram

Recently the only social network I have been more active is Instagram. I even try to post some stories there, and I try even more in the upcoming trips. So if you want you can find me there under the address www.instagram.com/miroslavpetrasko, or you can find my Instagram feed on the bottom of this page.

Night at the Marina – Plotagraph

How about another Plotagraph. I’m still sticking to more realistic animations in my plotagraphs, but looking through others works, people are more inclined to use it for more artistic animations. Maybe I try those sometime, but not yet. I really like it like this more :)

Making plans

So right now I have time to make plans. Before my works schedule starts in around two months, I want to do few trips, and maybe even buy a new lens. Something different to play around with in the new year. So let’s be surprised what the year brings :)

Evening view of Bratislava

This became probably my favorite view of Bratislava over the years. You get the SNP brige, the castle and also the St. Martins cathedral, so you have all the dominants of the city in one shot. Of course you have to do a panorama and have a bit of luck for a calmer Danube (it’s taken from a pontoon), but the view is just great.

Colorful sky – Plotagraph

For this Plotagraph, I just could not decide, if I want the clouds and the water to move in the same or in different directions. I tried it multiple times and redid the photo few times. In the end I decided to have them go in the same direction. Like this it feels like they are mowed by the wind. What do you think? Would it be better if they moved differently?
