HIGH-RESOLUTION WALLPAPERS

And to not have any time again, I have to leave for Budapest tomorrow, and will be as usually running around taking photos :) So please excuse the lack of new photo the next few day, as I had no time to prepare anything. So there will only be reposts of some of the photos from last years.

Morning bus

I started editing the right side of this image, when I noticed that I actually took it as a panorama. Actually, it’s possible, that I just took too pictures in a row with the same settings and they just overlapped enough. It happens quite a lot, and I just do a pano anyway. If it fits, it fits :)

This is a two tile panorama, each tile from 5 exposures.

Technique: Oloneo Photoengine, Number of exposures: 2×5, Camera Model: Sony a7R + Metabones Adapter ver. IV, Lens: Canon 16-35mm F2.8, Focal length: 27mm, Aperture: 9, Middle exposure time: 6.0s, ISO: 100, Tripod used: yes, Location: 48.13702, 17.10416

I’ve been adding mostly 21:9 wallpapers recently, and so today, I’m adding few new with a more traditional aspect ratios. That is 16:10 and 4:3. As always, they are 1920×1200 and 1600×1200 and you can download them from the wallpapers page.

Don’t update Photoshop

I mentioned this yesterday, but will once more. If you are using Photoshop, you probably already noticed that there is a 2015 version. There is even an update for that already. Don’t update to it. It’s horrible. Compared to the last years version, it very slow, buggy, the images don’t redraw properly, it’s just a huge pain to use. If I could, I would have already downgraded. I love working in Photoshop. I’ve been using it for over 15 years now, and this one, must be my worst experience I ever had with it.

Btw. one more not. Strangely (or maybe stupidly?) each Photoshop update turns off the automatic recovery saving of files you are working on. Why they do that I don’t understand, as I think this should be on by default, as it is very important, but they do. So don’t forget to turn it back on if you update.

Blue reflection

I did very little editing on this photo. The reason is of course the horrible Photoshop. But I hope you will still enjoy it.

This are four exposures combined in Oloneo Photoengine, blended with the original exposures in Photoshop.

Blue reflection

Technique: Oloneo Photoengine, Number of exposures: 4, Camera Model: Sony a7R + Metabones Adapter ver. IV, Lens: Canon 24-70mm F2.8, Focal length: 35mm, Aperture: 7.1, Middle exposure time: 13.0s, ISO: 100, Tripod used: yes, Location: 50.08441, 14.41323

I started editing a new photo today, but I just got so pissed off at the new Photoshop. While they claim it is faster than the old one, in my few hours of experience, it was buggy, slow, didn’t redraw properly and overall was just horrible. And working with that is just no pleasure, no pleasure at all. If I knew it will be this way, I would not update at all.

I just noticed there is already an update available, which is not really a surprise with whats the state of it, but with such a professional software, I was hoping for better quality (and looking how good the older releases were).

So no new photo today, just a repost of one of my recent videos, on how to take multiple brackets on the Sony a7R.
