HIGH-RESOLUTION WALLPAPERS

Inside the St. Vitus Cathedral

A handheld HDR from a single raw at 2000 ISO? Not very usual setting for me. I didn’t even take this so I edit it, just to have a photo that I was there :). But as you can see, it doesn’t look that bat at all. My goal was to use my tripod and do a proper (at least 9 brackets) series. But I was just to slow. The guard noticed me and ask me not to use it. It was strange, as they had no problems with flash photography, which I think is much worse than using a tripod.

Castle next to Danube

When I finished this photo, I noticed some strange “artifacts” on the bottom, on the water. At first I thought I did something wrong in the processing, and then I found that it’s the reflection of the clouds :) It just looks a little strange.

I took this photo around two weeks ago, when I went out shooting with Jim Nix who is also a HDR photographer and also has his own HDR photography blog at http://www.nomadicpursuits.com/ . If you check out his blog, he posted a photo from the same evening just yesterday. We really had luck for great clouds, and for usable weather. Just around two hours before this photo was taken, there was a heavy rain in Bratislava.

The fish-eye view of Bratislava

This is my very first fish-eye HDR. I tried to remove the distortion as good as I knew, and I think for a first photo is quite good. But I still see a lot of errors in it. But it will get better :) I also took a panorama of this view, so I hope I add it soon to this blog.

The beauty of Spain

This is what I like the most about Spain, these beautiful brick buildings looks just so great. I love the soft sandy colors which came out in this photo. I took this one only handheld, so I was very happy the the shots aligned perfectly and the result was a perfectly sharp photo.

I took this shot earlier this year in the city Toledo in Spain

New wallpapers

I neglected a little the wallpaper selection on my blog, so today I added three new ones. You can find them as always on my Desktop wallpaper page :)

The blue view of Prague

One of the hardest type of photos to edit, when yo need different white balance for the blue and yellow parts. So for anyone who is interested in my Photomatix settings, and other steps I did to edit this photo, check out my Facebook page where I posted a Photomatix screenshot together with a full description.
